In 1997, 3 years after graduating from Barnard College with a B.A. in dance, Janine L. Agoglia decided to go back to school. She wanted to go to medical school so returned to Columbia University to complete her pre-med requirements. Half-way through the program Janine realized that her ideas about health and healing were very different from those of the other pre-med students, so she decided to look into other forms of medicine. Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal medicine offered the holistic approach to medicine that Janine was seeking; treating the equally important mind, body and spirit/emotions as an interconnected unit to promote health and healing, both during illness and preventatively.
Janine graduated from the New England School of Acupuncture in 2002 with a Master’s Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She is currently licensed by the Board of Medicine in the state of Massachusetts and holds a Diplomate Degree in both Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine.
Janine currently practices at Integrative Therapeutics in Natick.
